The Russian Colony in Potsdam was founded as a model village in Russian style in 1826 by the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm III. Today it is a UNESCO site that  attracts tourists with its romantic setting. But who lives behind these wooden facades? This series portrays some of the inhabitants in their private surroundings, presenting a close up view of their lives between daily routine and historical heritage.
